The actress began acting and dancing professionally around the middle of the 1990s, with Boulder Dinner Theatre, and later The Country Dinner Playhouse. Following her move to Minnesota and appearing in an undocumentary-style film called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1998) about beauty pageants. The film's debut on screen was an attractive, bright-eyed contestant. Following that the move to Los Angeles in order to pursue a career acting. She was married to actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 from September 1962 to June 1951 and her mother to Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh's film career began when she signed an MGM deal in the middle of 1940s. Her work was noticed through actress Norma Shearer. Through the years that followed her appearances in many well-known films like Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) as well as Living It Up by Martin and Lewis (a 1954 film).
